The Congress Center and the Hotel Oka are located near the city center. The convenient location of the hotel makes it possible to quickly reach the main attractions of the city. There is a shop, a sports palace, and a picturesque park within walking distance.

Nizhny Novgorod is the sixth-largest city in Russia located at the confluence of the Oka and the Volga rivers. The dominating feature of the city skyline is the grand Kremlin (1500–1511), with its red-brick towers.

There are more than 600 unique historic, architectural, and cultural places of interest in the city, including the famous Nizhny Novgorod fair, an outstanding art gallery with an enormous collection of works by Russian and West-European artists. Other notable landmarks are the two great medieval abbeys, cathedrals, and rare churches, some dating back to the 1640s.

If you have never been to Nizhny Novgorod, you are strongly advised to visit it this year, when the city is celebrating its 800-th anniversary.
